Vivid and violent pictures of blood dripping down slowly from someone's wrist into a shower drain, were just the first things to disturb Julio's world. People with no hope left in the world; he saw them standing on the edge of a building or a bridge, and then he was with them as they fell. Suicide decorated his mind in shades of red and black, and the sounds were unbearable, thousands of voices were screaming at him, begging him to bring them back.

The red liquid started to climb up his pants leg, he shook his leg aggressively trying to make it come off. It saturated through the material and his heart raced with fear as he felt warm hands slid over his entire body. Laughter filled the air over the multitude of screams, it was a cold heart less laughter that one would expect a serial killer to own. The cruel noise grew with intensity as the hands that ranged over Julio's body pulled him into their pool of blood. His own scream was choked with the salty liquid that invaded his mouth. I'm going to die he thought as his vision turned to dark red.

And then there was a silence, a great calm among the voices, he wasn't seeing people die any more, his body was no longer invaded by the unwanted hands of blood, just a peaceful calm. Julio was in a dark ocean that the moon mirrored itself in, reflecting the stars with a joyous gaze of appreciation on the top of its waves. The wind that blew off of the top of the crystalline ocean was crisp and cool, and chilled Julio slightly. The gentle waves lapped against the side of the boat, Julio found himself looking into the mysterious icy blue depths. It was a perfect peace, and it was his alone to view.

"Beautiful." He whispered to himself, he leaned over the side further. Julio Richter barely had time to relax, as a member of a mutant group, especially as a member of X-Force. The water seemed not to have a single piece of foreign objects in it, till Julio noticed two bright blue lights that seemed to be staring back at him from the ocean. He couldn't help but be curious about where they came from. The hair started to rise on the back if his neck, as watery hand reached out of its place, and grab unto the side of the boat. Richter started to walk backwards until he felt the other side of the vessel touch his back.

The wind picked up, the temperature dropped, and the waves started to crash along the side of the boat, causing it to rock violently with them, the moon disappeared from the safety of the skies. Richter saw an eerie glow from where the hand had come up, and as the glow became brighter the figure before him grew. The bright blue balls of light turned out to be the creature's eyes, as it grew to be ten feet, Rictor could feel his hands shaking as they clung to the rail behind him. As the water creature stepped off of its water platform and into the boat, its non-descript body formed into a womanly shape, the "eyes" burned with the same blue fire that it originally had, as the rest of the face started to cover with a pale colored flesh. A long red cloak seemed to form out of mid air, covering the top of the water lady's head, flowing down her back and creating a pool of dark red fabric at her feet.

Julio's breath was taken away as the woman closed her cloak in the front. She gazed at him with her fiery blue eyes. She turned around and raised her hands. In an instant the wind stirred ocean calmed. Turning once more, her eyes locked on Julio.

"You should have left well enough alone." Her voice sounded like the rush of a thousand different winds all combined in one fine tone. Julio stood speechless, amazed at the woman's powerful, yet angelic voice. "I know what you saw, what you heard. And I took it upon myself to warn you, the girl that you so heroically rescued is insane and cannot be trusted."

"H-How do you know that?" Julio asked in his native tongue, the woman smiled at him, making him feel as cold as the breeze that still existed. Her cold demeanor matched her smile perfectly as she stepped closer.

"I know. And you need to get rid of her as soon as possible." The icy breath that she exhaled as she spoke formed into almost microscopic shards of ice.

"Who are you?" Julio asked, letting go of the side of the boat and stepping forward as his bravado partially returned.

"My name is Kipper. But that will not be of any importance if you get rid of the girl." Julio started to shake his head. Her eyes held him drunk with fear and intimidation. Kipper was gorgeous, Julio observed, even if she was made of water and not flesh. He couldn't help but notice her smooth skin and perfectly shaped body, that would have any of the X-women crying in jealously. A shot of pain shot through his skull, he closed his eyes tightly and held his head in his hands. "Get rid of the girl." Kippers voice whispered before he opened his eyes, but when he did there was no ocean, no boat, no Kipper just the med lab and it's equipment.

"What the hell?" Julio whispered as he leaned on his elbow to support his body. His skin was riddled with goosebumps, and his hair was wet and matted with sweat. He pressed his hand against his forehead and closed his eyes, but as soon as he did the electric blue eyes of the woman from his dreams were waiting for him. Rictor swallowed hard and tried to concentrate, only to have it broken by the same scratching he had heard as he went to sleep. "Okay that's it. I'm out of here!" He said out loud to himself, trying desperately to scare off the cause of the scratching.

"It scared me! I mean what was I suppose to think!" Bobby Drake laughed to the woman on the other end of the phone. Rictor staggered in, holding is head and mumbling to himself. Bobby tried to block him out and continue his conversation, that was quickly going down hill. Rictor's throat was dry and his tongue felt like cotton. He opened the refrigerator and slammed it shut finding nothing that he wanted.

Bobby gave him a few dirty looks, at every painful moan and Spanish curse that Julio let slip. He had stolen the smallest bottle of painkillers the med lab had to offer. Popping off the top, he started to spill the tiny pills into his mouth. From the corner of his eye Julio could see Bobby wince as he swallowed the capsules without anything wet.

"That's disgusting." Bobby whispered to him holding the phone in his palm. Julio rolled his eyes and took a seat at the table. He didn't need any more people talking to him at this moment. Kipper's voice was still too clear in his mind, he didn't know what to do about it, and wasn't sure he wanted to do anything to begin with. "You have to go? Well, okay, I'll call you later then."

Julio smiled as Bobby hung up the phone and grabbed a coke out of the refrigerator. He always knew that Bobby would have worse woman problems than he would. It was one of the few things that would always stand true. Leaning against the counter, Bobby eyed Julio suspiciously.

"Aren't you suppose to be in the med lab?" Julio didn't lift his head, but instead rolled his eyes.

"Yeah so?" Richter was in no mood to have a battle of the comebacks with Iceman. It could go on for hours if they truly had nothing else better to do. But Julio's fading headache was still to much of a hurdle to share a decent conversation with anyone, or thing, such as Kipper.

"Well fine." Bobby pretended to throw his imaginary long hair over his shoulder, as he threw his coke in the trash, before walking out the door. After putting his head down on the table to block out the pain the lights created in his eyes, Julio started to hear the faucet drip. He ignored it at first, thinking that someone else was bound to come in and turn it off.

But what made him nervous is when the sweet, semi-familiar voice started to whisper in a alien language. Julio could feel the hairs on the back of his neck start to rise as the voice became louder. Then one by one the voices increased, some mad, some calm, and all of them pleading with him. He buried his head further in his arms trying to block out the noise, he just wanted them to go away. But they didn't.

Every second that passed they multiplied, the events mirrored his nightmare from a few hours before. They were crying out for second chances, to be forgiven, and all of the minions started to grab at his clothes with invisible hands. He started to shake with nervous energy, trying to concentrate on anything except the people he knew weren't there.

"Leave me alone!" He screamed standing up, causing the chair to fall back. The clank of the chair against the tiled floor broke the now silent kitchen. The water had stopped dripping in the sink and there was nothing else left in the room. Julio grabbed his hair pulling it tightly into balled fists. He wanted to scream, but then he remembered the painkillers that he had swiped from the med lab, sighing to himself, he blamed the pills rather than the thing he thought was causing it. But he knew for a fact that it was impossible for a dream to come to life... wasn't it?
